As the greatest woman athlete of today, Hamm has the killer strike as
an offensive soccer player. Opponents fear her quickness, agility and
fearless approach to playing. Hamm is the ultimate team player, always
complimenting her teammates. She puts the team first.
Hamm learned about what it takes to make it on a team by playing
with her five siblings. She used to quit before a game was over,
so that she did not have to *lose*. Her siblings bumped her off the
team. If you can not handle the loses then you can not handle the wins.
Hamm eventually saw how important sticking with the team is,
thru thick and thin, no matter what.
Hamm founded The Mia
Hamm Foundation that is dedicated to
rasing money for bone marrow research and providing
encouragement and empowerment to young female athletes.
